Our Immersive Photo Booth Took Off at the Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.

Inside the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

The Air and Space Museum isn’t just a backdrop—it’s a historic destination in its own right. Home to the largest collection of aircraft and spacecraft in the world, it’s a place where imagination quite literally takes flight. From the Wright brothers’ original plane to the Apollo 11 command module, every exhibit tells a story of human ambition and discovery.



Being able to set up our booth within this immersive environment meant that we were not just entertaining guests—we were becoming a part of the experience. And we wanted to make sure that every detail of our setup honored that.

Bringing the Booth to Life: A Customized Experience

We knew from the start this event deserved more than the standard backdrop-and-print setup. So, we brought our A-game with a fully customized package that perfectly matched the spirit of the venue.

As guests approached the booth, they were greeted with a custom attraction screen featuring a rocket launching into space, complete with sound effects and motion graphics. The animation didn’t just invite them in—it set the tone for the immersive experience that followed.



Our design team created custom animations for each photo session that reflected the venue’s theme—think shooting stars, glowing nebulae, and jets flying overhead. These animations played directly on the mirror screen, adding that extra “wow” factor before and after each photo was taken.

Magazine-Cover Magic: Digital Backgrounds That Soared

One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the ability for guests to choose their custom digital background. With two stunning, high-resolution options available, everyone had the chance to step into a moment that felt straight out of a cinematic scene or museum exhibit.

Best of all? The final result looked just like the cover of an Air & Space Magazine—a souvenir that was fun, unique, and totally on theme. Of course we had to jump in on the fun and create our own magazine cover as well.
